Lets bring a change with Ariel.

Long gone are the days of only Mom or Sisters doing your laundry! Now the women of the house have so many works to do apart from laundry and household chores. The “ideal” woman of our age is glamorous, sophisticated, aggressive, powerful, outspoken, career-minded, independent, self-sufficient, and sensuous. She needs no one and nothing. She is in control of her own life, as well as the people and circumstances around her.

But the ancient Indian culture taught us that “Men Laundry Is a Woman's Job”.  And some family’s do follow this and teach their new generation.  I firmly believe that it is very important to end this prejudice by giving housewives the right values at home itself.  The young ones in the family watch their elder’s and practice same in their lives and if we want to bring a change in the society the young ones should be taught right things.

A survey conducted by a third party for Ariel reveals some statistics that show a bleak future. Check them out below.

The young ones watch their father sit back, relax and watch television whereas on the other hand their mother slaves and works hard in kitchen and laundry room. So what are we teaching them? Is it right or wrong?  2 Out of every 3 children think that household chores are their Mother’s job. This mentality must be changed.

We equally educate both sons and daughters but in this process of education we show how biased we are, we make our daughters agree that they should learn laundry as they will have to practice same once they get married. Don’t you feel that we are sowing wrong seeds in their minds? Our fathers agree that without proper knowledge of household chores we Indian girls won’t be able to find our perfect match.

If you call yourself as the man of the house you are responsible for proper well being and future of your kid. Most of the married men the so called man of the house believe that not helping their wives in laundry is manliness. They are setting wrong example for their kids. They should be a better role model for their children. And if you agree that your kids watch you and do same then I believe you should help your wife by sharing her household burden.

It is we who can bring a change and for a better future this prejudice must be brought to an end. So let's raise our powerful voice to the Ariel #ShareTheLoad activity at BlogAdda!

“I am joining the Ariel #ShareTheLoad campaign at BlogAdda and blogging about the prejudice related to household chores being passed on to the next generation.
